Lisa Pride was named chief of administration of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) in May 2019. In this capacity, she oversees the Offices of Information Security and Professional Services Procurement and the Administrative Services, Human Resources, Information Technology, Capital Outlay and Facility Management, Business Integrated Solutions, and Performance Transformation divisions.

Pride is a collaborative and results-driven leader with more than 28 years of experience in the public and private sector. She has been with VDOT since 2006, serving as a financial services manager and later an assistant director of the agency’s Administrative Services Division (ASD). In 2012, she was named director of ASD, where she led efforts to standardize and streamline procurement processes of goods and services contracts totaling more than $700 million annually, and improve project delivery and transparency in capital outlay and facility management programs.

Before joining VDOT, Pride spent several years in the private sector as a senior level manager in operations, financial and strategic planning. Throughout her career, she has embraced challenges, developing a broad spectrum of experiences and skills in finance, operations, business process re-engineering, policy and legislative support – all with a focus on continuous growth and improvement.

Pride earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Old Dominion University. She is a certified public accountant and a graduate of the Virginia Executive Institute.
